Well my intentions are to carry out some night photography this winter so I went down to Helston Boating Lake for a practice. Varying cloud cover produced different colours and lighting effects, but overall shows good potential. Lenses varied from 15mm to 70mm . With the long exposures it is amazing what the camera records as I could see very little in the darkness, to the point where sometimes I had to guess the horizon level. (must turn on this feature in the camera settings somewhere!) Well I will get onto the images I have not labelled them as they are all from the same location.

Fortunately there were no casualties and very little pollution despite there being 30 tonnes of fuel on board. One fuel tank was holed but quickly plugged reducing the leak to a minor amount. I think attempts to refloat it will be carried out next week when tides are more favourable

A stunning day in Cornwall so I thought I would give the macro photography a go. Missed my early start and the good light. By the time I got my self out the light was really intense, I visited Hells Mouth and Marazion beach. Carrying the macro kit around at Hells Mouth I spotted two peregrines so back to the van for the big lens. By the time I got back up the hill a huge sea for had completely covered the area, so another visit to see if the Peregrines are still around later this week! Anyhow some of the macro shots below
